Born and raised in Paris, France, Carine began windsurfing on the Atlantic Coast of France at the age of 14. While attending school, her holidays were spent at Europe’s best windsurfing spots, improving her skills. Her first surf trips during holidays were Spain, Morocco and Portugal. After graduating from “ESCE”, a four years business school in Paris specializing in International Trade, she came to Maui, Hawaii, with her boyfriend Manu Bouvet. Equipped with their acumen and intimate knowledge of the sport they started a travel agency selling windsurfing packages to Europeans and Americans. Living minutes from Ho’okipa Beach (the Mecca of Windsurfing), she was windsurfing everyday and got sponsored by Neil Pryde and Bic Sports. Working with the best water photographers on Maui and all over the world she got a lot of coverage in the international windsurfing and sports mags. She is now one of the most popular windsurfer in the world. She appeared on dozens of magazine covers and has been features on lots of  television programs, including Eurosport, ESPN, Fox Sportsand E! Entertainment Television. Few years ago, Carine became one of the first women to take up the relatively new sport of kiteboarding and participated to the first World Cup in Morocco. She is now sponsored by Cabrinha Kites. Her goal is to keep on traveling and do surf stories for magazines and TV reports. Whether surfing, windsurfing, kiteboarding, or some future form of oceansport, you can bet Carine will be where the pionneers are, planning to continue her worldwide journey to search for the perfect wave. For Manu, her and their little five year's old daughter Lou, their travels give them a new vision on the world's cultures and environment.
